Andrew Glass was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He was given his first camera on December, 24 1993 and he has been taking photos ever since. It was not until high school that he considered photography as a career. In the fall of 2007 Andrew took his first
photography class at Spain Park High School and immediately knew that this is what he wanted to do with the rest of his life.
His teacher, Erik Myers was a graduate of the University of Alabama, Birmingham and he inspired Andrew to turn his talents toward teaching. After graduating, he decided to pursue a degree in photography from his mentor's alma mater.
Andrew Graduated from UAB in December of 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Photography. Upon graduating he accepted a position at the McWane Science Center where he uses his arts degree to build fun and exciting exhibits.
